The Legend of John Edwards

I am not a fan of guile. But I've grown into an adult and I am relentlessly informed, reminded, that the adult world is all guile. That "the American people," those poor, inattentive, ruthlessly manipulated children, were to be shielded from the Straussian society of those who know better... for their own good, though often couched under the rubric of "the greater good." I've felt helpless as Uncle Barack and his friends run amock, causing of otherwise decent civilians the sin of defending the indefensible, time and time again, as the stain of indecency creeps into every crevice of a fastly decading American society.

So, I was happy, ecstatic, that John Edwards chose to prove my point, chose to admit what has been so obvious to most of us who have watched, with a detached sense of awe, the manner in which politicians so brazenly manipulated the people, the media... and the country. Today, I am a believer again in divine retribution. Every day for the thief, they say, and one day for the owner. Well, let's make this day last... a long, long time. That we might never forget, the guile, the indecency, the... sin.. the legend.. of Senator John Edwards.
